Seasoned recording artists Molly, Michelle, Kiara, and Leah have spent over a decade honing and refining their craft. Perfectly at home in front of any microphone, Orchid Quartet has added their beautiful sounds to numerous film/television soundtracks, albums, and singles. They are fierce sight-readers who can instantly interpret any sheet music placed on their stands, but what truly sets the group apart from the average classically-trained quartet is their ability to improvise together on the spot, magically creating a stunning arrangement out of thin air. That is how in-sync with one another these musicians are.

Remote recording

Let’s face it! We are living in unprecedented times. Amidst a global pandemic, technology makes it possible for Orchid Quartet to continue creating beauty and art from a distance when the world needs it most! Fortunately, Molly, Desiree, Kiara, and Leah have their remote recording method down! All four players have professional remote recording setups in their individual homes. Starting the stack from the bottom with the cello line, the quartet passes the project down the line until the 4 lines have been tracked flawlessly from their studios. Composers, artists, and producers from anywhere in the world may send guiding materials such as reference tracks, midi mockups, and sheet music, and the quartet will send back dry, untreated WAV files to weave into any project as seen fit. Contracting

After over a decade of working in the music industry, Orchid Quartet has developed a sizable network of other trusted musicians that they love working with. This OQ Collective is comprised of the finest female and non-binary string players in the greater Los Angeles area. If a larger ensemble or even an entire orchestra (“Orchidstra”) is desired for any event or recording session, Molly, Michelle, Kiara and Leah can make that happen! They draw upon this extensive list of colleagues to find the personnel best suited to any musical vision. Orchid Quartet acts as a liaison to clearly communicate all expectations and duties to their teammates leading up to and on the day of employment.
